LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL was founded in 1917 in the United States by businessman Melvin Jones who felt that successful people like himself and his colleagues should devote some of the energies which had enabled them to succeed in business to serving their local communities. Appropriately he chose “We Serve” as the Lions’ motto.
Lions Clubs now exist in more than 170 countries and more than 2.5 million men and women wear the distinctive lapel pin.
The Lions Club of Narammala Golden Jubilee is a cornerstone of community service, renowned for its commitment to improving lives through various impactful initiatives. With a rich history of dedicated volunteerism, the club focuses on four primary service areas: vision, childhood cancer, hunger, and the environment.

In vision care, the Lions Club of Narammala Golden Jubilee conducts regular eye camps, providing essential services like eye examinations, surgeries, and the distribution of eyeglasses to those in need. These efforts ensure that individuals, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, can lead better lives through improved vision.

Addressing childhood cancer, the club supports affected families by facilitating access to medical treatments, offering emotional and financial support, and promoting early detection and awareness campaigns. These initiatives are crucial in easing the burden on families and improving outcomes for young patients.

The fight against hunger is another cornerstone of our service. We organize food drives, create food distribution programs, and support sustainable agriculture projects to ensure that no one in our community suffers from food insecurity.

Our environmental initiatives focus on conservation, reforestation, and promoting eco-friendly practices. By organizing clean-up drives, tree-planting activities, and educational workshops, we aim to foster a sustainable future for generations to come.

The Lions Club of Narammala Golden Jubilee remains steadfast in its mission to serve, guided by compassion and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
